Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD CON, has been awarded the prestigious Corporate Fellow Award by the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE).
The award recognizes Governor Radda exceptional leadership and vision in the engineering sector.
Dr. Hafiz Ibrahim, the Governor's Special Adviser on Power and Energy, represented Malam Radda at the formal award ceremony, where he delivered a speech highlighting the Governor's transformative contributions to power and energy development in Katsina State.
"Under Governor Radda's leadership, Katsina is making significant strides towards ensuring reliable power for all citizens and building the technical infrastructure necessary for the state's economic growth and development," Dr. Ibrahim remarked.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Radda expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to designing, building, and maintaining sustainable power, energy, and technical infrastructure in Katsina State.
The Governor emphasized that the development of energy infrastructure is essential for the state's progress and the empowerment of its citizens.
"We are committed to transforming Katsina into a model state in terms of energy security and infrastructure development," said Governor Radda.
"Our focus is on creating a robust energy network that will support both industrial growth and the daily needs of our people, particularly in rural areas."
Katsina State has launched a series of ambitious projects to improve power distribution, increase access to energy, and modernize existing technical infrastructure under Governor Radda's leadership.
These initiatives include grid expansion, renewable energy projects, and the construction of state-of-the-art power facilities.
The administration has also prioritized capacity building and technical expertise development to ensure a skilled workforce to sustain and grow the state's energy sector.
